- Focus is on friendship and persons with intellectual disabilities. Previous studies on social networks of persons with disabilities have shown that many persons live isolated and are not integrated in society. The article is based on a survey on integration and social interaction and the interviews were made both by video telephone and in personal communication. Sign language, pictures and Pictogram symbols were used to support the spoken language since most of the participants had a poorly developmed speech or were unable to talk verbally.
